Thank you so much for taking the time to think and pray for the children and Metro Ministries. As you know we reach over 40,000 children around the world on a weekly basis. This is something only God has enabled and empowered us to do. Please join us as we seek God and INQUIRE on behalf of the children we reach.

This blog is designed to guide you in a full day of prayer and fasting:

At the top, you will see a tab that says "REGISTER." We want to know who we're standing in faith with. If you are planning on praying with us on March 20th, please register...it only takes a minute!

Also, there is another tab that says "PRAYER WHEEL." We know that praying for a whole day can sometimes be overwhelming, especially if you don't know what to pray for. So we broke it down for you. Each hour gives you something different to pray for.

On the left, you will see a list of "PRAYER POINTS." Click on the Prayer Point to go into more detail about the needs and some scripture you can pray.

If you're not able to pray for the whole day, don't worry. You can split it up throughout the day or a few moments each hour. Whatever works for you! Either way, make sure you register.

Metro Church

Metro Christian Center is the church located in Brooklyn to serve the people of NYC. There is a team of people, known as the Adult Ministry, lead by Pastors Tony and Gladys Lara. The Adult Ministry work hard each week to put on church services, events, follow up with the people and more.

A majority of the people who attend Metro Christian Center have been influenced by Metro's Sunday School program.

Please pray for the congregation of Metro Christian Center to grow in their walk with the Lord and to step out in faith. Pray for spiritual awakening and a hunger for the word.

Revival

Pray for an awakening in the body of Christ to see the urgency of the hour and to lay aside every weight and hindrance

Pray for a mighty outpouring of the Holy Spirit that His people will walk in holiness and the anointing of God and that they will step out in faith and operate in the manifestations of the power of God.

Pray that the church will rise up and make a stand and be bold to speak out for the truth

Pray for souls to come to true repentance and for the message of the cross to be preached in power.

Habakkuk 2:14 “For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.”

Pray that we will be broken with the things that break God’s heart and have His compassion

Pray for the different projects Metro Ministries does throughout the year. Each one is a tool to reach the children with the Gospel. Pray that the hearts of the children will be enlightened with the hope of Jesus through these projects.

Pray that God will send more laborers into the harvest. The countries of the world are opening up faster than we can go into them. Pray that God will open people’s eyes to the urgency of the hour and propel them to go.

Matthew 9:38 “Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth laborers into his harvest.”

Pray as we expand into more and more nations, that God will provide the funds we need to carry out the work

Pray for growth and that God will raise up Leaders, Pastor and Teachers from the children we are reaching so they in turn can reach out and see Pastors, Leaders and Teachers raised up

Street Ministry

Pray for our teams that go out on Saturday evening and minister to the prostitutes and drug addicts.

Pray for their safety and protection

Pray God will minister through them and that the words they speak will bring life and hope

Psalm 116:6 “You protect ordinary people, and when I was helpless, you saved me.”

Isaiah 49:9 “That thou mayest say to the prisoners, Go Forth; to them that are in darkness Shew yourselves, they shall feed in the ways, and their pastures shall be in all high places.”

Pray that their lives will be totally transformed by the Lord

1 Peter 2:16 ‘Live as free men, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as servants of God.’

Pray for Ali – an ex-transvestite now serving the Lord at Metro Christian Center. Pray that he will lead many others to the Lord

Psalm 40:14 “Let them be ashamed and brought to mutual confusion Who seek to destroy my life; Let them be driven backward and brought to dishonor Who wish me evil.”

Pray for the annual “Night of 100 Stars” held in December where we bring in around 100 street ladies and pamper them for the day and hold a meal in the evening followed by the gospel message. Pray that they will truly have a life changing experience.

Luke 7:13 “When the Lord saw her, He had compassion on her and said to her, “Do not weep.”

Interns

Pray for physical strength to meet the demands of the training.

Acts 26:18 “unto whom I now send, to open their eyes and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins…”

Pray that they will grow spiritually

Pray for God’s provision over their lives

Children

Pray for the children we reach every week all over the world

Psalm 40:17 “But I am poor and needy; Yet the LORD thinks upon me. You are my help and my deliverer...”

Pray for healing emotionally – many of them have been abused and emotionally damaged

Nehemiah 2:2 “Why does your face look so sad when you are not ill? This can be nothing but sadness of heart.”

Isaiah 54:4 “Do not fear, for you will not be ashamed; Neither be disgraced, for you will not be put to shame; For you will forget the shame of your youth.”

Pray that God would radically transform their lives and that they will realize their full potential in God

Nehemiah 9:27 “…And in the time of their trouble, When they cried to You, You heard from heaven; And according to Your abundant mercies You gave them deliverers who saved them From the hand of their enemies.”

Pray for God’s protection over their lives – many of them live in constant danger. Pray that God would put a hedge of protection around them and that the enemy will not be allowed to rob them of their future

Psalm 69:29 “I am in pain and distress; may your salvation, O God, protect me.”

Pray that they would become true disciples of the Lord.

Pray that they will be able to stand against peer pressure.

Pray that they will have hope to see they can make something of their lives.

Pray for wisdom and discernment in all decision making

Pray for God’s protection upon them as they travel for the ministry

Romans 8:26 “Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.”

Pray that they will walk in the blessing and anointing of the Holy Spirit

Titus 3:5 “…he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit.”

Pray for the children, the orphaned and bereaved that they will have hope renewed and hear and see the gospel message in action

Pray that the finances will come in to pay off the building used for offices and accommodation by October

Genesis 42:28 “So he said to his brothers, “My money has been restored, and there it is, in my sack!” Then their hearts failed them and they were afraid, saying to one another, “What is this that God has done to us?”’

Pray for the staff – for God’s protection

Daniel 6:27 “He delivers and rescues, and He works signs and wonders in heaven and on earth.”

Pray for the various Sunday School Sites all over the Philippines and especially in the garbage dumps and the North cemetery.

Isaiah 60:1-2 “Arise Shine for thy light has come and the Glory of the Lord is risen upon thee, for behold, the darkness shall cover the earth and gross darkness the people, but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and His glory shall be seen upon thee”

Pray for those families devastated by the recent floods and that funds and supplies will keep on coming in so that we can continue to meet their physical needs as well as their spiritual needs.

Isaiah 61:3 “…bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor.”

Pray for our partner churches and Pastors we work with in the Philippines for increase and fruitfulness. Pray for their protection – many of them live in areas of Muslim extremism.

Isaiah 59:19 “...When the enemy comes in like a flood, The Spirit of the LORD will lift up a standard against him.”

Metro NY

Won-by One Child Sponsorship Program - pray for the staff who work in the WBO department, the children who are sponsored in NY and their sponsors around the world.

Run with One Missionary Staff Sponsorship Program - pray for new sponsors for the staff and initiative among the staff to reach out for new sponsors.

Maintenance - pray for those who are maintaining the office buildings and housing.

Metro World Ministries Center - pray for the finances to complete the renovation and laborers.

Sidewalk Sunday School – for all the leaders and teams as they plan their lessons and teach the children each day

Indoor School Sunday School – Pray for those who plan and prepare to teach the indoor Sunday Schools each Saturday that the lessons will be taught with passion and anointing and that the kid hearts would be open to receive

Bootcamp - Pray for the staff who work each week with different groups from all over the world.

Internship - Pray for the "intern parents" who take care of the interns. Pray for an increase in interns.

Discernment

God’s provision for the ministry through the offering raised at his speaking engagements

Malachi 3:10 “Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this,” Says the LORD of hosts, “ If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it.”

Clarity of mind as he ministers, that he would continue to preach with authority and under increasing anointing of the Holy Spirit.

Acts 4:31 “And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.”
